Christmas 2010

The annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Holiday Party was held on Saturday, December 11 from 1-4pm at the RT Schafer Masonic Lodge, 2505 NE 9th St.with a special appearance from Santa Claus, Dennis Pollard. We were truly blessed with the outpour from our local churches, community, and businesses, who donated hundreds of gifts to all our Littles and their siblings.

Retro Party Series January 29th – April 9th, 2011

The ROARING TWENTIES! held Saturday, January 29th
was the first of the Retro Party Series; Dancing to DJ’s 20s music, food and prizes for
best costumes, made it a fun-filled night!
THE LOVERS OF THE FIFTIES! held Saturday, February 12th
was part of the series of themed decade events was held on Valentine’s Day weekend. Roses and chocolates were sold to
participating couples, prizes for best costumes, Rum Runners special Valentine drink,
50s music and a “whole lot of shakin” was going on.

Family Fun & Safety Expo

Event hosted by SAFEID4FAMILIES Neighborhood Project, co-sponsored by Best Buy in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Florida
and the Neighborhood House on February 26, in front of Best Buy in Butler Plaza. Live Entertainment, family activities,
free food and refreshments were among the day’s highlights. Drawing was held for a chance to win an X-Box 360 with a Kinect Bundle,
free 1 year live online X-Box subscription and a $50 gift certificate and winner was announced during event.
